A highly experienced Masters student who loves working with and teaching children!
|
I am a driven, organized, and energetic fourth year University student who enjoys working with and teaching children. For the past seven years, I have worked for my municipal summer day camps as both a Leader and Team Leader. These positions have required me to be responsible for the program development and delivery of children ages 4-12 as well as ensuring the safety and well-being of each child. With this position, I am required to keep an up-to-date Standard First Aid and CPR certificate as well as receive yearly training on behaviour management and program planning. I was also required to obtain the Principles of Healthy Child Development (High Five Certification) for this position as well. Two years ago, I became certified as a Red Cross Youth Leader which allows me to teach the Red Cross Babysitting course; a course that prepares children ages 11-15 to begin their babysitting careers. As a Youth Leader, I am required to teach and evaluate First Aid skills as well as child care skills. In addition, I also have some related volunteer experience in the area of education and tutoring.
