| My skills related to child care include: having First Aid and CPR certification, creativity, the ability to be flexible to changes or the child's needs, responsibility, reliable, dedicated to the children's wellbeing and the families desires, patient, finding ways to make healthy eating and cooking fun. My experience related to child care includes: currently attaining a degree in Early Learning and Child Care, University practicum experience, teaching sunday school classes, volunteering at summer programs, before and after school care (age 5-12).

| I was recently a child development worker at an emergency shelter for women and as much as I loved it I missed building strong connections. I was a Senior Emergent Learning Facilitator at a before and after school care program for a little over two years. I'm great at meaningful planning and allowing educational experiences for the children to happen! I love arts and crafts as much as I love to play. I drive and own a bike so going on outings is no problem. I have been a camp counsellor for camps named OLQP and Neighbourhood adventures. From babies to teen I have experience with all ages. I have done respite care; working with children with disabilities. I am always patient with all children and always have a caring, loving attitude. I am currently studying for my level 2 (CDW) online. I have my first aid training, level 1 (CDA), criminal and intervention checks. I have been to many professional development workshops about childcare, and I even know some sign language! I'm not just looking for a Job, I'm looking to become a member of the family. Once you see my caring attitude towards you and you're children you will have no choice but to think of me as family!

| I have been doing before and after school care for up to 5 kids including some preschoolers to help finance my stay-at-home parent role and to start a wilderness guiding business. We spend almost all of our time outside, regardless of weather, and the kids have all increased their enjoyment of the outdoors. I generally do not actively play with the kids, as I believe they learn more from negotiating play among themselves. Several strong friendships have formed between children in my care. We sometimes make "field trips" which have included going to outdoor skating rinks in the , swimming, and pack rafting . Other than playing outside, typical activities have included, arts, crafts, and music. I never turn down kids who want to be read to. I am not a conventional babysitter, but kids soon warm up to my gentle, humorous nature. I am the most patient person I know. My own children are a teen and a pre-teen, and any clients are welcome to meet them to help them judge my child care style. I am willing to do drop-off and pickup, if the school timetables are sufficiently offset to be able to walk between them.

| I have a passion to work with children. I am 30 years old and been working with children since I was 12 years old. I experience with mental health, physical and mental disabilities and have the ability to adapt to most environments. I am currently doing before and after school care at a gifted school. I really want to connect directly to a family in Calgary and work for them instead of a bigger company. I have gained insight on different cultures, animals and all kinds different dynamic families. If I’m not playing with my two cats, I’m hiking, travelling and just enjoying life to the fullest.
