| I have always loved working with children and it is definitely my passion. I am married to a wonderful Canadian farm boy and we have just relocated to Carlisle from Owen Sound.I previously have spent many summers working for a camp as a camp counselor and counselor leader, just finished at my previous job working as a daycare assistant, and have numerous years of experience babysitting, and working in church nurseries.I firmly believe in getting down on the child's eye level and listening to what they need to say. I tell my little's all the time at daycare that "it's OK to be angry but we cannot take away so and so's toy" I want children to understand that their feelings matter, but they don't get what they want (if it's something wrong). This is pretty detailed here, but I feel it's necessary for whomever I work with to understand that I will really see and listen to their kids. I am crafty, quick on my feet and flexible with the day to day. I am working on my organization skills and like to approach life with a cheerful, singing Mary Poppins kind of style. | I am currently a university student studying education who loves children. I volunteer at the elementary school in my area once a week for the past two years working with children one on one. I also volunteer at my school food bank and have spent my past 5 summers working at a garden and cafe.
