We also have an energetic but extremely friendly Springer Spaniel and a cat (who hides, but just a heads up for allergy purposes). We live in St-Henri, Montreal, and are looking for someone with experience to accompany our French speaking 8-year old son for portions of the day throughout the summer (flexible). Looking to hire a caregiver to assist with my 34 year old husband who suffered a traumatic brain injury. He is wheelchair bound (but can bear weight) and mostly non-verbal (communicate with gestures, tablet, head nods). His comprehension is excellent but he struggles with Apraxia of speech. He participates in speech and physiotherapy and going to the pool. We are a very friendly couple who are very involved in the theatre, arts and queer community in Montreal. We live in the Plateau. It's a great learning opportunity for those interested in anything Neuro or recovery oriented. Looking for global help but specifically with task such as: -help with feeding and basic needs -support with Activities of daily living, practicing speech therapy exercises, occasional physio exercises -must be comfortable doing pivot transfers -must be comfortable with 2 dogs and a cat (very friendly animals!) -must speak English *Hours are flexible
