Must be experienced with Epilepsy and Autism behaviors and oxygen Administration, Dementia Symptoms, non verbal persons.
Youth Diagnosis :
1)Epilepsy ( Dravet syndrome)
2)Austim ( sensitivity sensory overload and demand/avoidant Behavior)
3)Nonverbal
4) Perrie Robin Sequence ( birth defect of jam & airways)
5) Intellectual disabled
6) Global delay
7) Hip Dysplasia & wide Gait
Job responsibilities are ;
Monitoring for several different types of seizures, Oxygen Administration when needed for seizures, Administration of seizure rescue medication when seizures occur. Follow seizure protocol.
Provide redirection with behaviors, wondering , restlessness, intake of fluids every 15 mins, ( to prevent dehydration)
Redirection with eating meals so aspiration doesn't happen , meal preparation.
Hygiene like all personal care including changing briefs / diaper & cloths when needs.
Assistance with balance when walking & when getting up from sitting and/ or sitting down .
Provide Compassion and Commpanionship , be interactive with activities of special needs youths choice. Patience is a must.
Provide verbal validation through body language and spoken language.
Looking for female workers only- special needs youth has been abused by males and is very agitated in the presence of all males.
