Our family would like some occasional respite care during our stay in Lake Country for our son, 25 years old, who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. The job entails hanging out with our son at our condo, going for walks to get ice cream, etc. while we have some away time in the area. He is verbal, engaging and loves to meet and learn about people. You would need to be able to do transfers from a wheelchair to the toilet or bed if needed while we are out (he weighs 115 lbs). He can assist with these transfers as he can weight bear. He requires assistance preparing his meals and some assistance with eating. The ideal person for this position would be outgoing, great sense of humor and comfortable with wheelchairs and transfers. Spending time with our son is always rewarding and enjoyable!
$346 - $44512 days, 16 Hr.
