Post operative from recent successful open heart double bypass surgery at age 78. (Nov. 24, 2024) We need to celebrate that and continue the healing at home in a house with stairs. Need a person with geriatric rehabilitation physiotherapy experience and training to assist/encourage post open heart surgery chest/arm exercises at home for a healing post operative person with the additional challenge of a longstanding rheumatoid arthritis in the knee. Limited range of motion in knee. The caregiver needs to accept and work within that reality as it is at present and lack of desire of patient to accept help. (Limited motion in right leg due to knee arthritis.) Accept limitations at current healing state. i.e. Person is not allowed to make their bed due to the risk of cross body movements and lifting. (Advice is from surgeon, doctors, and nurses.) They can get up to do light cooking, lift a 1/2 litre kettle, walk in the house, walk to a warm vehicle to be driven. (They know how to drive yet cannot drive at present due to mobility/reflexes.) Thank you. Catherine
