We are looking for a hard-working and responsible caregiver near Westlock to assist a woman with Parkinson's disease in her early sixties. We would like someone interested in a live in position with a few years’ experience and references. The duties would include assistance with getting in and out of bed, bathing and dressing, as well as meal preparation and companionship. Light housekeeping, laundry, and medication assistance, as well as transportation and assistance with appointments. The individual that needs assistance uses both a walker and a motorized wheelchair depending on the day. As her condition progresses, her mobility has changed, and she falling more often. Because of this fact, we are looking for someone that can be with her on a regular basis when others cannot be. The client lives in her family home on a farm with her husband, with family and friends close by. It is a working farm, so there are days when she is by herself all day long.
