My father has just entered Village at Smith Creek and is feeling a bit lonely, and I am hoping to find someone to spend time with him in the afternoons/early evenings. My sister and I both live overseas and we have been doing our best to fly home and support our Dad, but he could really benefit from regular companionship in his life. We already have one wonderful companion who is coming from M-Th mornings and Sunday mornings-afternoon. We would like to find someone to join our family support team who is able to come at least 20 hours/week during the following times: M-Th from around 3pm-6pm; Fridays and Saturdays anytime from 9am-6pm; Sundays from 3pm-6pm. Our Dad is a gentle, friendly man who has had some speech impairment and memory loss from a stroke, but still enjoys talking about current events, answering trivia questions, and generally keeping abreast of the world. He would do best with a calm personality. Thank you!

August 30th, 2024 - I'm actively looking to hire for evenings and/or mornings. I am a 45 year old male in Upper Glenrosa with Muscular Dystrophy and use a wheelchair. My interests are sci-fi, NCIS, FBI, and home reno shows. No experience needed. Looking to cover 1-2 evenings per week. Prefer to start at 9pm or later. You are here for 20-30 minutes for $60(2 hours) And goes like this: - Move me to the washroom using a portable electric lift - Using the same lift, we then move me onto my bed - Adjust my body position on the bed so I'm comfortable - Throw the blanket on and we're done. Safety is a priority so we both wear easy breathing kn95 masks while caring for me and I try to keep the windows open as much as possible. The hourly rate starts at $30/hour.
