We are looking for a responsible, loving person who can attend to our elderly mom for various different shifts. She is a delightful and gentle lady who loves enjoys fun conversation and short outings but also enjoys her personal space and quiet time as well. She’s got a super sense of humour, is very down to earth and gets along with everyone. We now require additional help for her - current caregivers are in place but we need to have additional relief care set up. At this stage, she needs full time supervision. Essential duties Our family is very much involved in her life and only want the very best for our beloved mom. A medical background is NOT required; we simply want a caring person to respond when she needs help. We are open to either live-in or live out situation. The live-in caregiver would have their own living quarters in mom's home which is in a lovely country setting, 15 min west of Troy. This is a very nice situation in a beautiful setting. If we find a good match between our mom and yourself, we will certainly do what we can to make a mutually beneficial arrangement. Job-share position (2-3 shifts / week each) , flexible start date. Our beloved mother lives in the country and is alert, lucid and in fairly good health given that she is 90 +. We, as her family are committed to keeping her in her home that she knows so well, as long as she is able to manage. She has very limited vision but can navigate places that are familiar. We are looking for someone (2 different people to share the overnight shifts) to assist her in the night when she needs to go to the bathroom. She can walk, although she is fully dependent on her walker and for this reason we want to ensure someone is there to supervise and assist when necessary. The home is in the country, a short drive from Paris. The position is for evening - overnight care - to help our mom in the night when she calls. You can sleep in between, just be available when she rings. This is a lovely setting, in quiet peaceful surroundings. We are an open, warm and loving family who will treat you like one of our own. Our family is very much involved in her life and only want the very best for our beloved mom. A medical background is NOT required; we simply want a very responsible and caring person to attend to her needs. My mom and dad are in their mid 80's and mom has dementia. They are both relatively mobile and independent, love their dog, and love their home. My brother and I are fairly close by, and my two sisters are often here too, so we often visit, take them for drives, doctor's appointments, groceries, etc. However, it is time to make a decision whether to move to a retirement facility or to remain at home if we can find some help.
