I am looking for a live in care giver for my 94 year old mom. She has dementia and is presently in a care centre but we would like to move her back home. We are looking for someone who would be willing to live room and board. We are also a farm and I work part time. The care would be intermittent. A few hours during the day and then willing to get up at night sometimes when I am working. This could be ideal for someone who is a student, even on line. I would prefer someone of Christian faith.

Dad, 92, is astute but has mobility issues requiring use of a walker in the house and sometimes a wheelchair when going out. He has a pacemaker, is diabetic and has congenital heart syndrome. The house has been adapted to meet his needs. Mom is 82, healthy, but has moderate to moderate-high dementia. She is forgetful as to conversations or where she has put things. Neither drive so need to be driven to appointments, etc. using their vehicle. The position is for Monday through Friday as live-in, with Saturday and Sunday off. It will start as soon as an acceptable candidate is hired. Candidates will need to provide valid driver information and abstract, police check, any first aid certifications along with your resume and references. Looking for sleepover Overnight care for an elderly couple between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM. The 91-yr. old male is astute but having mobility issues. The 82-yr. old female has moderate dementia. Ensure night medications are administered, bedtime snack provided, and safely upstairs to bed. Mobility needs to be monitored. While it is your decision, it might be best if you did not have your own dependents (spouse, children) to leave at your home without you.
