In search of a compassionate caregiver to support our father who has Parkinson’s disease. The care required is overnight, Saturday and Sunday. The shift would be 11:00pm -6:00 am or 7:00 am (to be determined) and involves a variety of responsibilities. These include: offering assistance with dressing and undressing, helping him move in and out of bed, aiding with toileting and changing incontinence underwear, brushing teeth, and facilitating breakfast. Preferably, you should have experience with Parkinson's, incontinence (diapers), and hearing impairment.
The right candidate should be able to start at the earliest possible date to fill this part-time, live-out position.
The successful candidate should have previous experience working with elderly patients and must possess general skills typically required for a Personal Support Worker (PSW). Please note that a police check, PSW/1st aid/CPR certification and references are obligatory.
