In home Care Partner needed for 85 year old woman. She lives with the diagnosis of Alzheimers disease and so needs support in her daily life. Personal care assistance required, lifting and transferring, companionship, safety monitoring, meal/snack preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, medication administration, safe vehicle and full driver’s license, etc. Experience working with people with differing forms of dementia and communication is a definite asset. In depth training/on going support offered to care partners. 24 hour shifts generally start and end at 7:30 pm, 18 hour shifts run from 7:30 pm to 1:30 pm, 6 hour shifts from 1:30-7:30 pm. Wage and days worked to be discussed during the interview. We try to accommodate the needs of our care partners in determining shift availability as much as we are able to. Her active 91 year old husband, also lives in the home but requires minimal assistance, mostly with occasional meal prep and laundry. Separate bedroom accommodation provided to care partner.
