PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Supports client by providing in-home engaging companionship and caregiver respite, supervision in personal care, some light housekeeping, meal preparation. Looking for a couple hours a day a few times a week. Occasionally driving client to and from appointments, social events and/or for errands Participates and collaborates with caregiver in supporting the clients' changing needs. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Valid Ontario Driver’s license and access to a vehicle Current First Aid Certificate Safe Food Handling Certificate is an asset Dementia training an asset Criminal Record check with Vulnerable Sector Screening Experience working with the elderly, ill or with children Good written and verbal communication skills Effective observation and listening skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member Job Type: Casual, Flexible schedule (mostly evenings and occasional weekend care) Work Location: In person in Niagara Falls
