My 87 year-old mother has memory problems and moved from Ontario to a condo in Fredericton last year, so she struggles to find her way around town. Food preparation is also increasingly a challenge, though she still works fine from recipes. Mom's hearing is a problem, even with hearing aids, though she's fairly good provided she can see your lips move. Her health is otherwise excellent, though she could stand to do more for basic fitness. She also is used to having someone do house cleaning for her. We're looking for a responsible and reliable senior care provider who lives near Fredericton, mostly to help mom with local travel and cooking tasks, as well as cleaning. We're flexible, but something like Monday/Wednesday/Friday for 2-4 hours/day would work best. My wife and I will continue to provide considerable social and other support, but we're finding also doing routine tasks is a bit too much, given our own schedules.
