We are looking for a part-time caregiver, that can come to Bancroft on weekends. We will compensate for the commute to Bancroft (fuel and time) if you're from out of town. Bancroft is half way between Ottawa and Toronto, so if you're in those cities it can take 2 hours to drive here. A nursing student with a driver's license would be IDEAL for this position. We have 2 caregivers already, but we want to give them a day off on the weekends, and if you're a student, when semester is out if you want more work, we could also plan their vacations for when you're off school. My Grandmother is in her mid-80's, she has a mild dementia, often she'll forget where she is, and require reminders. She also has lost mobility due to severe arthritis in her knees and needs mobility assist using her wheelchair. She can no longer stand or transfer safely to the toilet, so she wears adult briefs, and requires the occasional assistance with changing and washing. On this job posting, I indicated Saturday and Sunday.
