Hi, my name is Quynh and I am looking for a dog sitter in Brossard J4W. I would like someone who is experienced, reliable and trustworthy. The experience is not mandatory as long as there is a connection with my dog. Our dog is a 15 year old rescue Shi-tzu mix who was abandoned by his former « owners » , to be euthanized. He's gone from foster to foster at least 4 times according to the rescue organization, so he's developed severe separation anxiety, which means that we can't leave him alone for more than 3 hours in his crate. It has been almost 3 years since we adopted him. My husband and I have fallen in love with him on day 1. He is part of our family and only wish him to give him a loving home for his golden years. He is healthy, takes no medication but eats vet recommended canned dog food (Royal Canin) for seniors mixed with fresh vegetables (carrots,spinach, cucumbers). We’re looking for a sitter or care giver with whom he’ll get accustomed to and feel comfortable with over time so that we we eventually go out on trips, and it won't be a shock for him. My work schedule has recently changed so we may need a caregiver at least once a week (the day can vary). He doesn’t have a good experience with big dogs, but it depends. Prefers little to medium sized dogs to get acquainted with. He still has quite a bit of energy for an old soul, very friendly, playful, loves his walks (30-40 min, mornings and late afternoons) and his naps. The sitter/caregiver will have to be long-term and committed, if possible, only because he’s gone through so many changes (abandoned, foster to foster) before we welcomed him into our home.
