We are a caring family in search of a compassionate, reliable, and experienced babysitter/nanny to join our family and provide support for our three children aged 6, 8, and 15. Our youngest son, who is 6, has Down syndrome and requires a caregiver with patience, understanding, and preferably experience or willingness to learn about his needs. The ideal candidate will be someone who can become an integral part of our family, providing not just care but also love and understanding to my children. Responsibilities: - Childcare: Primary care for our three children, with special attention to the unique needs of our youngest son. -School Runs: Safe transportation to and from school for the 6 and 8-year-old. We live very close to the school (5-minute walk). -Meal Preparation: Nutritious meal planning and preparation for all meals. - Overnight Stays: Comfortable and available for overnight care for 2-5 consecutive days each month due to parental work travel. - Light Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and orderly environment for the children, including tidying up after meals and play. - Additional Household Tasks: Open to additional compensation for tasks such as thorough house cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation while the children are at school. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a nanny or babysitter, with references. - Experience with or knowledge of Down syndrome preferred, or a strong willingness to learn and adapt. - Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Access to a vehicle is a plus. - Ability to commit to overnight stays and flexible scheduling according to travel schedule. - First Aid and CPR certification. - Eligible to work in Canada, with a clean background check. 3 full days and 2 short days (preschool days) Full days = m/w/th (7:55am until 3-4pm) Short days = tu/f (2:15pm until 3-4pm, possibly 7:55am-9:00am) Mostly for 1 potty-trained (almost) 3yo 5yo just needs to be gotten off of the bus at roughly 2:35pm and watched for 25m-1h 25m. We live very close to the preschool where our daughter will need to be picked up on the short days We also live quite close to EarlyOn and the new park! All of these are short walks (5-7mins) and 1 minute drives. We’re a friendly family looking for very reliable care. We are hoping for a start of Monday January 9th or asap after that.
