We are looking for part time care for our two toddler boys - age 4.5 and age 2.5 We also have a new baby boy and some occasional assistance with him might be required. I am on maternity leave so baby care would not be a routine occurrence. A bit about our family: We, Andrea and Jesse, are two middle career scientists and each run our own businesses. We have been and remain disappointed with the Alberta provincial COVID-response and have kept both boys out of daycare since September 2021. We are hoping to find someone to provide care in our home. The boys love to spend time outside playing and exploring. They also love to read, colour, do craft projects, and play board games. Our desires and expectations: We are quite flexible on scheduling but prefer something regular and predictable. We are thinking a minimum of 3 hours (maximum of 8) between 8am and 5pm, for 2 to 5 days per week Monday thru Friday. This is something for discussion and we are happy to work around schedules for the right applicant as required. We require up-to-date vaccination records for COVID (2 doses plus at least one booster) and expect any applicant to take the science of COVID and global pandemics seriously. Up for discussion, but we would likely require an N95 mask to be worn within our home. We would provide masks. We may at times require COVID testing (we would provide the test). The applicant will have their own transportation. We hope applicants have a background in early childhood development / education. Regardless, all applicants should have previous childcare experience. References are required and will be checked. Starting date asap. The website requires us to enter an amount, but the pay is negotiable and will depend on your past experience. We expect childcare to occur here at our home. We both work from home so are readily available in case of an emergency. a
