Hi! We're looking for a nanny to take care of our 2.5 year old son O. He's a very energetic little guy who loves being around people and exploring the world. We're looking for someone to continue supporting his development by playing with him, taking him out and about, as well as feeding him snacks/lunch, and putting him down for a nap. Help with light housework and meal prep would also be great! We are looking for 30-40 hours a week (M-F mornings and afternoons). Previous experience is beneficial, though not required - as we believe finding the right fit is the most important.

We are considering a full time, long term (at least 1.5 years) nanny to care for our children when I go back to work in April 2015. If you are interested for this time period, please contact me with your experience and expected salary. I would prefer to pay someone a monthly salary paid out bi weekly but I don't actually know what the going rate is for this type of salaried position. Please feel free to give some feedback on salary. Requirements: Drivers license and vehicle (we live on the Malahat; no bus service), Current First Aid, Have or be willing to obtain a criminal record check. Willingness to take the children to Strong Start during the week and/or other outings, art, crafts, playgrounds, playdates, etc. I used to work as an ECE and feel strongly that some educational type of activities are provided to the children each day and not just having free play or watching TV all day. Very limited TV per day is okay. Hours are roughly 8-530. You will have every other Friday off. Openness to stay longer on rare occasions is a bonus as my job is such that if an emergency arises, I may not always be able to make it home on time. Again, this is rare.
