Full-time French speaking caregiver required in a private home to provide care for two children and to provide general assistance to family for daily tasks. Preference given to applicants who can live-in home. Room & board in home provided at no charge. Main duties: Live-In Caregiver/Nanny performs some or all of the following duties: • Supervise and care for children in employer's residence and may reside in employer's home. • Aid children with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. • Oversee children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer. • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development. • Tend to the emotional well-being of children. • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents. • Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise. • Responsible for all transportation for children such as taking children to and from school and to appointments. • Maintain a healthy environment in the home. • May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child. • Assist parent in child supervision and household management, including meal preparation, laundry, washing dishes, running errands and other routine housekeeping duties. • May oversee children's homework assignments required for school. Employment requirements • Complete fluency in French required (speak, read, write and understand). • Completion of secondary school may be required. • Nannies and live-in caregivers may require proof of training or 1 to 2 years experience in child care or a related field. • Demonstrated ability to perform work is required. • First aid certification and CPR training required. • Ability to work flexible hours including weeknights and weekends. • Driving skills and valid driver’s license required.
