Wages are $680 / week PLUS room and board provided. - Ensure the physical and emotional wellbeing of staff children (ages 13, 11, and 3). - Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in activities with the kids. - Monitor behaviour while anticipating and preventing problems that may occur. - Keep children’s living quarters clean and always organized. - Perform housekeeping duties to children’s cabin such as cleaning. - Wash the children’s laundry and put it away in designated places. - Prepare nutritious snacks and wash dishes. - Be available to help in any capacity at camp when not needed for childcare. - Maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm regardless of the weather / situation. - Model acceptable behaviour through a professional demeanour. Required Qualifications - Positive Attitude - Criminal Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector Search) - Minimum of 19 Years of Age Assets - Previous work experience with children and positive references. - Wilderness, primitive, outdoor, survival, or earth skills knowledge. - Overnight camp experience or community living. - Out-tripping, camping, orienteering, hiking background. - Any certifications in outdoor and wilderness pursuits (i.e., Wilderness First Aid). - The ability to work independently while being a team player. - Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
