We are looking for a reliable, nurturing care provider for our family starting immediately in Cowichan (Sahtlam area). We have three kids (1, 3, 5 years old) and are looking for full-time Monday-Friday in-home care. The successful applicant must meet the following requirements: Childcare Experience: At least 6 months of full-time training in a childcare program (ex. ECE) OR a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience Infant CPR and first aid training Criminal record check Valid driver’s license with safe driving record (will be reimbursed per km for driving with kids to/from activities and school). Fluent in English 2 Professional References Duties include: Actively engage with children in educational and social activities within the home and community Provide a loving and nurturing environment for the children Supervise and care for children (weekdays between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm) Drop off and pick up at school Prepare meals Light housekeeping - laundry, tidying, etc Competitive Compensation will be provided. Ideally you would have a few years of experience and A LOT of energy. The kids are very sweet, have language delays and require constant supervision when out. I am currently ill and pregnant and I have a two year old. I do have help with him MWF but right now I'm finding I'm too sick to care for my son fully on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It would be a month to month basis ideally, we have high hopes that my treatment will start working soon. The hours and start date can be somewhat flexible. As can the total hours per week. I'm also looking for someone to have on call as a back up for other days because my nanny has children and has to cancel on me last minute quite frequently.
