Hi there! We are attending a wedding in Wakefield, and we’re looking for a babysitter who would like to help us with 2 children.
We would need someone from around 3pm until late so our sitter would be required to play with the children, prepare their dinner and put them to bed. We are staying in a hotel and the sitter would be able to relax in our hotel room which is separate to the children’s once they are asleep.

Our family is looking for an experienced occasional babysitter for our two children, aged 5 and 1 year. Applicants can expect to work between 3 - 5 days per month, and would need to be available evenings and nights during the week (Wednesday & Thursday) and weekend. The babysitter will be expected to feed meals, engage in appropriate games and put the children to bed. The position has the potential for some daytime work on the weekend as well.
Job responsibilities:
- prepare dinner for both kids; light cleanup afterwards (5 year old should be encouraged to clean up after himself)
- engage in age-appropriate playtime
- prepare children for bed: brushing teeth, washing face and hands, changing diapers
- reading bedtime stories and giving bottle to baby
- no TV or screens for kids after dinner
Skills required
2+ years’ experience in babysitting
Experience with multiple children at a time preferred
Must be 18 years of age or older
Certification in first aid and CPR preferred
Must provide three professional references, preferably from families you’ve worked for previously
