Our current sitter is, sadly, leaving us to pursue a new opportunity so we are seeking a kind, respectful, fun, compassionate, and loving child care provider to care for our two children in our home starting at the end of May 2016. Our son will be 17 months old and our daughter is 5 years old and attends grade primary. Duties would include: - providing quality care for the children, indoors and outdoors - light meal preparation (breakfast and lunch) - light housekeeping (cleaning up after meals, tidying the children's play spaces, etc.) - picking up our daughter from the bus stop after school Child care is required approximately 8-12 days a month. I work a regular Monday-Friday work week and my husband works away. When my husband is not working, he is home all day and we will not require care. His schedule will be provided in advance (he gets his schedule for the month on the 20th of the month prior) so there is advance notice of which days we will require care for the kiddos. Hours of care will be approximately 6:30am-4:45pm. We live in a cat-friendly home in a quiet subdivision in Lawrencetown with a large yard and a playground just around the corner. The beach is six minutes down the road one way and all the conveniences of Cole Harbour/Dartmouth are six minutes down the road the other way. Having your own transportation is necessary and fuel costs will be considered when discussing salary. We do request First Aid and CPR trained, child abuse check, and the ability to speak French is an asset (but not required!)
