Location: Beamsville, Ontario (In-Person) Job Type: Full-Time (Maternity Leave Contract) Position Summary: We are seeking a responsible, dedicated and experienced House Manager to join our private household in Beamsville, Ontario. This role involves managing daily household activities and providing high-quality childcare for three children aged 2-7 years old. The House Manager will be responsible for meal preparation, light housekeeping, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and healthy environment for the family. Responsibilities: Providing attentive care and supervision for the children, including full-day care for the youngest child and before/after school care for the older children. Preparing nutritious meals for the children and family Grocery shopping and running errands for the family Managing daily hygiene routines, including; grooming, bathing, and dressing as needed Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties Working with the family on an appropriate approach to discipline and overall caregiving strategies. Taking children to school, appointments and extracurricular activities on time Organizing engaging activities such as reading, crafts, and games Maintaining a safe and healthy environment at all times Tending to the emotional well-being of the children Ensuring the general upkeep of household chores, such as laundry Assisting with any type of emergencies that may arise in calm and efficient manner Performing other duties as required Qualifications: Proven experience working with children Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or in progress) or equivalent is an asset Gentle approach to discipline and care Strong communication skills and ability to connect with children Basic cooking skills and an understanding of nutrition High level of discretion and confidentiality Valid G driver's licence and reliable transportation Clear background check or willingness to obtain prior to employment Valid First-Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain Ability to lift up to 35 lbs Strong references required Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm (34 hours per week) Expected Start Date: October or November, 2024.
