Hi everyone, my name is Jade and I’ve recently moved to Sydney after teaching in a private school in Singapore where I obtained a wealth of knowledge and experience teaching English to first language learners and those who use English as their second language. During this time I implemented a range of strategies to help students who struggle with English which included encouraging and facilitating reading, graphic organisers to understand the structure of language, vocabulary charts, sentence structure charts, and various other exploratory tasks to make English accessible. Up to this point I have taught in four different secondary schools meaning that I have a wealth of experience teaching different texts including The Classics. Not only do I value my expertise, but I also strive to ensure all my lessons are engaging and student-centred, helping to make learning fun.
