I am currently available as a Support Worker. I am passionate about helping others. I’ve been in the service industry for 18 years as a Special Needs Teacher and an AIN in an Aged Care Facility in Coolum. Over these years, I have supported individuals with a range of disabilities including, but not restricted to Autism, physical, mental and emotional disabilities. My career goal is to help those who are not living their full life. My passion is to help people identify/discover their strengths and develop those skills in their areas of interest. This brings me great joy! I use my research skills to help people engage in the community by find engaging opportunities that support and add to their overall wellbeing. I assist individuals to identify barriers and provide solutions for them. If I don’t know, I will contact relevant specialists/support groups that can help me find the best ways to remove the barriers. I am familiar with NDIS and have assisted parents in gaining access to NDIS. I am happy cook, clean, take clients to appointments, shower, dress, feed and any other task that is relevant to the position of a Support Worker. I have a small SUV and a great sense of humour. However, I do laugh at my own jokes!
