Passionate with helping individuals with special needs
|
Having a brother with muscular dystrophy really opened my eyes to wanting to help individuals with special needs. I have had experience especially with children and adults with autism and Down syndrome both through volunteer and paid work. My work teaching English as a foreign language to young learners, babysitting young children and my work with special needs people has enabled utilising communication techniques visually through pictures. This is beneficial for people with autism, behavioural disabilities, individuals with speech impediment, deaf or/ and mute children. It enables communications of needs, wants, fears, daily routine and I have used it effectively with many people.
I have extreme care and empathy with a kind, gentle nature.
