| I began working as a Disability Support Worker in 2020. I enjoyed being able to support people to live the live they want to live so much that I decided to study a Certificate IV in Disability at Melbourne Polytechnic, which I completed my 120 hours of practical placement and graduated in early 2023. I have since consistently supported people from a range of ages from 6 - 70, with a range of abilities and diagnoses, from ASD, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, Developmental Delay and various Psychosocial diagnoses such as Schizophrenia, OCD, Anxiety and PTSD. I am a very personable, gentle, caring and driven 32 year old, with a strong passion to help people from all walks of life to live the life that they want to live. I am passionate about choice & control for every person and believe everyone should be supported to live a happy life, regardless of disability.

| I have 35 years experience working as a pediatric nurse and have worked with children of all ages who have varying degrees of disability including cerebral palsy, ASD, and ADHD. I have recently been employed in a role which involves managing children with challenging behaviors when they are admitted to hospital. This requires careful planning to ensure each child receives individual care that will streamline the admission process. I am caring, kind, empathetic and reliable.

| I have worked across the disability sector in England for 9 years, I have experience working with autistic adults specialising in challenging behaviour and mental health and also across a residential setting for deaf teenagers and young adults. I have also worked closely with individuals with epilepsy, Down syndrome, fragile X and MS. I feel very strongly about each individual having tailored care to meet their needs and enjoy getting to know people and seeing what I can do to help improve their quality of life during my time working with them.

I have long patience and a pure love and respect for these children. I have a brother who have Autism Spectrum Disorder that I took care since he was a baby and I am working hard to also for him. | I'm a 25 year old female who has been working as an Independent Support Worker for about 3 years now. I studied nursing but haven’t worked as one in a paid job, support work is my full-time job. I keep up to date with my WWCC, First Aid and CPR. I have a huge passion for support work, I dedicate lots of time to getting to know my clients and what they need from me specifically and I'm not afraid of hard work! Outside of work I love to spend my time working on my health and wellness, surrounding myself with my family and friends, adventuring outdoors and other hobbies.
