Hi,
I'm Holly, I'm 27 and work full time at Southport Special School as a qualified Teacher Aide. I have a small class of 13-15 year old students all with ASD and Intellectual Impairment and one student who also is diagnosed with ADHD. I assist in toileting for two of my students and also feeding at meal times. I am currently being trained in communication devices such as Proloquo, on an iPad and PODD as I work with some non verbal students. I have been at the school since the beginning of term 2 when I commenced my placement for TAFE and i was offered a job whilst still studying, which was a great sign!
I have a Certificate III in Education Support and also First Aid accident and emergency certificate, I also have a current blue card for working with children.
I have my own transport and am looking for some extra work on the weekends or evenings as I finish the school day at 2:30pm. I am really easy going, happy to do homework, make dinner, bath/shower, toileting etc.
