Enthusiastic, Empathetic Disability Support Carer
|
My name is Kacey and I have a passion for working in the special needs industry. I developed my passion for providing the highest quality care whilst learning about different afflictions that have affected my own family. In order to better understand their needs I started studying aged care and disability care. During my work placement at Kirami aged care facility I thoroughly enjoyed supporting those with higher needs such as dementia and found this very fulfilling. In February 2014 I expanded my horizons by shifting into the disability sector, mainly working with people affected by epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, and intellectual impairments. These conditions are close to my heart, and providing the highest quality care and support to those who need it is something that’s very important to me.
