Lived and Worked with Autism.
|
My little brother was always a little different while we were growing up. Unbeknownst to me, it was Autism. Since then I have worked with multiple people (mainly those under the age of 18, but not limited to) who also have Autism.
I used to take care of my little brother in my personal life, and because of this personal experience I decided to work with it further. The last 5 to 6 years of my life being a mentor to verbal and high functioning kids, to using certain skills and hands on work with those who are non-verbal.
I have worked in a group situation from 5-10 people who all have Autism and I have also worked one on one with others.
Because I have lived with it for most of my life and I have worked with it for a few years, I feel like I would be a good choice to work for you.
