Second year psychology student (female) looking to provide special needs asssitance
|
I have a passion for psychology and paedatrics and would absolutely love the opportunity to branch out and help those in need. Im a second-year psychology student at UQ, and currently work in retail at woolworths. I've predominantly worked in retail and hospitality but have always had a desire to do either volunteer or support work. As a child I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and ever since surviving this daunting experience I've hoped that one day I could give back to children in need of some extra support whatever that may be.
I graduated high school 2 years ago, but during my education, I was lucky enough to have done travel abroad and volunteer work. In travelling over to Nepal, I was given the opportunity to observe different sectors of their hospitals and provide education on hygiene and health standards to primary schoolers. This experience deepened my passion to work in the healthcare sector, and reminded me how amazing it feels to care for others and give back.
