| I've cared for children, teens, and adults ages from 5 to 21- all who had either intellectual and/or physical disabilities for over 4 years. I helped them learn how to cook, use proper language to ask for help, learn how to take care of themselves and help them through tantrums with emotional support.

| I am a registered emergency nurse with experience in medical and surgical nursing also. I have a history working as a medication endorsed PCA in a local aged care facility and worked many years as a dental assistant/manager while also studying and working as a childcare educator. My favourite aspect of nursing and of being a PCA is watching patients/residents/clients gain and maintain their independence with my assistance. I have truly loved all of the careers that I have had but I have found what I am meant to be doing in nursing. I have experience from personal care to caring for someone who is critically ill, I can do everything in between. I’m a very social person who loves to chat and hear the stories of those around me. I love to explore and try new things. I’m a great cook and love to entertain. I enjoy tasks such as cleaning and gardening as this gives me a great sense of achievement when I can see the before and after of what I have worked on. My pride and joy are my two puppy dogs, Russell and Roo. At the end of the day I just want to help others to make their lives easier and more enjoyable, whether it’s assistance with ADLs or even just being a companion.
