I am currently enrolled in Bachelor of Nursing at Flinders University, and I hold Certificate III in Individual Support(Ageing). And I have completed Diploma of Nursing and have worked as a Registered Nurse for nearly 5 year in my home country. I have also worked as a personal carer following my studies in Nepal. Recently, I had placement in Resthaven Incorporated, Leabrook as a nursing student and in ACH, Noarlunga as a care worker. As a student I have been exposed to residents with dementia as and different physical disabilities which has allowed me to develop skills in respecting their independence and decisions, and acknowledging their needs and providing holistic care. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong time management and organisational skills, which I see as being very important when seeking to work in casual employment while continuing to study. Also, being exposed to similar care settings with different roles allowed me to have more understanding of my scope of practice and responsibilities.
