I've been doing HSC tutoring the past year for my siblings and several of their friends. This includes proof-reading/giving detailed feedback for assessment tasks, discussing content and different approaches to subjects, understanding the syllabuses, developing exam techniques and overall study habits and routines. For subjects that I did myself, I am able to give stronger emphasis on content. I've also done tutoring for subjects that were not my specialty as I familiarised myself with the syllabus and assessment tasks criteria so I am still able to greatly help students in a more general sense. I think it's really important to develop a positive approach to your learning which is my main focus when tutoring - it's not about getting the highest marks, it's about reaching your potential, believing in yourself and feeling confident and proud of your achievements.
