I have spent 5 years teaching across film and animation subjects at Griffith Film School in Brisbane and am able to run lessons in English, film theory and history, scriptwriting, essay writing and research skills for students years 8-12, and those at university level. I have a Bachelor in Film and Screen Media Production with Honours, and I am currently doing my Doctorate study in experimental film and animation. Lessons are all about you! We spend time working out your learning style/s, strategies that work best for you, and understanding how your life experience and world view impacts your learning. Lessons are typically 1 hour long, and tailored to you - we focus on the areas you need the most assistance with. I'm a mama and a creative! I've always created art, in many forms, and have worked in the arts and academia for over a decade. I love teaching because I love helping people, and I strongly believe the arts are capable of changing lives for the better (I also love a good essay argument!) I am big on self-expression, creative thinking, and challenging and expanding one's world view through both written and screen work.
