I have always been passionate about maths and the sciences. I have received high marks in physics, chemistry, and maths; and am ranked at the top of my school cohort. I have previous experience working with children. As a swimming instructor I learnt how to convey what I was teaching so that it could be easily understood by the students. I started a chess club at school, the club has allowed me to engage with younger students both as a role model and someone they can confide in, which I believe will make me an effective tutor as I am able to relate to young children. When organizing activities as a student representative, I learnt how to express ideas in a clear and concise manner, while taking into account the ideas and concerns of others.
