In 2020 I graduated with a double degree in Arts and Science, specialising in English and Biology and maintained a GPA of 6.03. Throughout my university years I enjoyed sharing my knowledge and skills through tutoring, and love watching the 'a-ha' moment of understanding on students faces when a tricky concept is finally understood. I am a student-focused tutor, allowing the strengths and weaknesses of my student to shape our sessions. I build lessons around overcoming struggles from the foundations of what each student already understands. Challenges are easily broken down into smaller, bite-sized morsels which helps reduce feelings of overwhelm and stress. I tutor at university level, high school to HSC as well as primary age students. I enjoy group learning with up to 8 students but find one on one sessions most powerful in learning, sharing and understanding one another. I tutor across a range of subjects but specialise in English and the sciences. I have experience working with children with barriers to learning. I am available to tutor full time in person or online. April
