Hi all. My name is Venera, I am 27 yrs old and I am working at Northern School for Autism in Melbourne, but relocating to Sydney in a week. I’ve been working with ASD students for nearly 3 yrs now. Throughout my time as a Teacher Aide at Northern School for Autism in Reservoir, I have demonstrated the capacity to undertake a variety of routine support tasks in a range of areas. I always approach my tasks with enthusiasm and a desire to do them well. I take pride in my work, have strong knowledge of autism and am passionate about enabling students to achieve their personal and educational potential so as to be valued contributors to family and community life. Each of these kids has their own strengths, abilities and interests and they all deserve to reach their full potential. It is really fulfilling being around these amazing kids and giving them the support they need, building their strengths and skills to promote development. As we all know, it can be quite challenging at times but watching these kids grow and improve day to day is so rewarding-just a nice reminder that we are all doing a great job.
