In my third year as a Student Learning Support Officer (SLSO), I've gained invaluable experience working with diverse special needs students. This includes assisting non-verbal and non-mobile children, where my responsibilities encompassed not only educational support but also hands-on care such as feeding and changing. Additionally, I've successfully navigated the challenges of working with high-functioning behavioral issues, implementing strategies to create a conducive learning environment. My involvement extends to addressing cognitive delays, where personalised approaches are crucial.
