Hi there! My names Tash. I am a 24 year old, young woman who has been working in the disability support sector for 2 years now. I have supported a young boy with cerebral palsy for over a year and have gained experience and knowledge of this disability in depth. I am now confident with lifting, hoisting, showering and feeding. I also help him to achieve his physical duties and support him in social settings, such as swimming classes, kinder and now school. I also have 2 years experience supporting a autistic man, which I have a clearer understanding of the disability. I have learnt the skill of patience and kindness towards whose on the spectrum. This role also entails a frequent amount of community access and helping him socialise on a day to day basis. I am hoping to find more work with children, as I feel thats where my heart belongs. I am happy to care for those either with a disability or those who are able bodied. Thanks!
