Hi my name is Grace, I am a 22 years old looking for a sea change by moving up to Wollongong from Canberra. I have worked as a teachers aid in my local primary school for the last 4 years, and had work experience in childcare before that, additionally I have cared for my younger cousin during school holidays for the past 2 years (he is currently 12). During my time as a teachers aid I have worked with students with ASD, ADHD, Learning difficulties, and diverse medical needs. I believe every child deserves the best possible opportunity to succeed, irrespective of ability, culture, interests, or physical limitations. I have been apart of the disability community my entire life being born with severe vision loss. I have been part of many social groups with people of all ages and backgrounds throughout my life. I'd describe myself as an easy going, individual who is fun loving and adaptable to the children in my care and there specific needs. due to my vision I do not drive, but will get to work using a combination of public transport, walking, and occasionally support workers if I have a shift with one beforehand.
