I have worked as a disability support worker since November 2017. Additionally, I have disability at home in my personal life, my brother in-law has a rare chromosome disorder affecting his cognitive, physical and intellectual abilities, yet he is absolutely amazing. Additionally my brother has diagnosed ADD and I was diagnosed as ADHD in my late teens. In my disability work I have worked with all intensity levels of needs and a range of disabilities in ages ranging from 9-24 (currently) and up to 42 previously. I am trained in seizure management due to working with a male who had Dravet Syndrome as a child, as well as individuals with epilepsy, individuals who are nonverbal, have delayed cognitive development and individuals who are visually impaired. I have also worked with severe ADHD and moderate autism, muscular dystrophy, stroke affected individuals, individuals with Downs Syndrome. I am currently a uni student studying a bachelor of biomedical science, with the hopes to go into medicine. And I have also achieved dual degree of bachelor degree of behavioural science (psychology) and bachelor of business (management major).
