I have over 15 years of experience providing individualized support to a large number of customers with a wide range of complex support needs. I have worked in a variety of settings such as residential, community, education, health and mental health services. I am neuro divergent which I celebrate as my greatest strength, it informs and improves my practice. I pride myself in delivering high-quality support that is underpinned by understanding. I make it a priority to make space to be present with my customers to understand them as an individual. To understand what motivates them, what they value, what their goals are, what makes them laugh and how they want to be supported. My goal for every shift is to leave knowing that my customers feel empowered, respected, understood and in control. My other goal is to make every shift full of fun and laughter even when completing the most menial tasks, I pride myself on planning creatively to make the service I provide enjoyable and life-affirming.
