Over the past 3 years I have had experience working with people with a range of different ages, abilities, disabilities and needs. I have loved working with regular clients and going on community outings (trips to city, beaches, aquarium) and aiding them within their everyday lives (showering, dressing, swimming, exercises, shopping). I am a bubbly, chatty and outgoing individual who loves music, the outdoors and art. Throughout my study I have worked in a range of schools, SDS, Autism schools and mainstream primary schools. In my time in these schools I have become accustom to using key word signs, PODD books and PEC communication. I have knowledge of manual handling, hydrotherapy and other functional items associated with a range of disabilities. I am a very patient person, spending most of my young adult life retraining horses and working with animals, volunteering at the RSPCA and engaging within my community.
