I have practical experience as an education assistant level 3 for 2 years working alongside therapy specialists, experienced teachers. I have gained experience understanding children with special needs or with behavioural problems through working in class and as a personal level. I am a mother of Two children with ASD. Assistance in their learning, social and emotional care and watching them succeed. I help to be comfortable, show trust and no judgement. I learn about their interests, likes and dislikes to use them. Be patience, working through challenges and how to set boundaries or goals will bring a positive outcome for the child, and the ability to work through challenges that have come between others. I ran my own Family Day Care where not only I provided a safe, secure, educational and playful environment but I also had to EYLF Doc and learn through play. I believe my knowledge is based on being a parent of three children and my six years working with children both in childcare and at school. I understand their needs and be the best advocate for them, as they are all individuals and learn different.
