I'm the stranger that will come upto your dog, and ask to pat it, while watching its body language and allowing it to sniff me first. Dogs make me happy. I grew up with two German Shepherds and two tabby cats at the same time. I taught the cats to sit before they ate. The dogs, knew to sit and wait on command at crossings.
