I am an animal lover who is a vet student (second year). Apart from taking care of my own cat and dog, I have gained valuable exposure and experience in volunteering at The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for a long term. As a kennel keeper, I was granted the chance to interact with different animals, including both exotic animals and domestic pets, as well as to learn about animal behaviors and illness.I was also granted the chance to join Creature Comforts Veterinary Clinic in Tseung Kwan O Hong Kong for work placement. I was given the opportunity to observe and assist with procedures such as radiographs, ultrasound, spays and castrations. These experience was a valuable opportunity to develop and mature my animal handling skills and observation skills which allow me to become a more sensitive person in order to cater for their needs.
